Steve Daley, Lester Crabtee and John Lloyd provided excellent value-for-money entertainment on Friday 4th November at the annual JFC Boughton Sportsman's Dinner at Cheshire View.

It was our best-ever night with one quote summing it up "a great night. I didn't think you could surpass last year's event, but you did! How do you top that one?".

In truth, it will be very difficult, but we shall see. If you attended we hope to see you again next time, and if you didn't make sure you book early for the next one because these are great nights!

All JFC Boughton activities will cease until further notice (no training and no games) following Sunday's shocking news about Gary's passing which has left us all absolutely devastated.

Gary was an icon, an inspiration and a great role for all the youngsters who play for JFC Boughton.

We will all miss him very much.

The thoughts and prayers of everyone associated with JFC Boughton are with Louise, Ed and Tommy at this very sad and difficult time.

Thank You.

Shell Island 2011 PDF Print E-mail

Well who'd have thought it?

This year's trip to Shell Island was summed up eloquently by the words of Iwan Brisbane "we survived the glorious sunshine at Shell Island!"

After years of being washed away and blown to bits sunburns, sunstroke, sun cream, sunglasses and sun shades were the order of the weekend.

Not a raindrop in sight, not even a breath of wind - even the 2 gazebos made it through intact! The tents never rattled at night and we even had swimmers in the sea!

A good time was had by all who attended. Many thanks to Chris and Heather for the organisation and cooking expertise.

Even the lads got lucky against the dads in cricket. Although GCSE maths isn't their strong point when counting the runs!!

Here's to next year's visit. Any takers?!
